I would like to thank my nurse and share my story of why this nurse is so special:
Melissa always comes to work with a positive experience and attitude. She goes the extra mile by listening to the needs of others, from patients to staffing to working out the problem with a solution.
This weekend we were saturated on all floors and yet she still took in outpatients and took care of them herself. She gave him a room, provided IV antibiotics therapy and treated the man's wounds.
Later that day she worked with staff to expand DOU and always work on patient's behalf on getting them home even on the weekends. She's charge nurse and social worker all rolled into one.
Melissa is a special person that has the compassion and caring needs of the patient first. She represents what is good about West Anaheim Medical Center.
