Jason is a member of the Heart Transplant Clinical Coordinator team. His nursing care includes direct patient care, family and patient teaching and medication management, along with many other duties.
As the mother of a heart transplant patient, I am in regular contact with Jason and the many other nurses. Although all of the staff we have encountered are wonderful, Jason truly stands out. When my son needs a referral, Jason helps me with whatever is needed. When it comes to any type of procedure/clearance needed, Jason is always on top of it. Recently, Jason was working on a difficult prior-authorization, and although there was push back from the insurance company, he appealed and continued to work on it when they said it would not be possible.
Additionally, we recently had issues getting to a lab for timed medication draws for my son. Jason was kind, concerned and willing to go above and beyond to find a hospital where we could have the draws done at our convenience.
Although we have only seen him in person once at the hospital, Jason has, for the past three years, been the person who makes me feel comfortable when there is any type of issue with my son's care.
