Molly is super kind, caring, a hard worker, and she always knows what others need. She is very considerate about others, and I can tell that she sincerely cares about me and my family. Today, when I went to interventional radiology to get my feeding tube replaced, Molly was there to greet us when we came to our room. From all of my trips down to interventional radiology, my mom and I have gotten to know Molly quite a bit. She always makes sure to ask how everything is going, and it helps me to feel more comfortable and welcome. When I went to get my tube replaced, Molly was with me the whole way, and she always knew just what I needed. She knew when I was hurting, and at those times she would ask me questions (to get my mind off the pain), or she would comfort me. She also holds my hand every time I need her to, and I love when she does that because it helps me feel comforted. That way I know someone is right there with me when I am hurting, and it is nice to have a hand to squeeze when the pain gets really bad. When I was done with the replacement, Molly walked me back to my room and made sure we had everything we needed. She is always very efficient with everything she says and does. The main reason I nominated Molly for this award though, is because when I leave, even though it is never a great experience, I feel happy and well cared for. It is nice to know that she sincerely cares about me and that I get better soon, and she gives me hope that I will get better soon. Hope, kindness and a positive relationship are (what I think anyway) the three main things that all nurses should give their patients. Molly does that, and she goes beyond what most other nurses do for their patients, which is why I think she is a true DAISY Nurse.
