Jennifer Miller had a pregnant mother come in at 34 weeks for monitoring and Jen was very helpful and so sweet to the family. She answered all their questions and calmed their nerves. 5 weeks later mom was in labor and Jen was not assigned to the family that day. Mom had a difficult labor and the next day Jen came in requesting to be the nurse for the family. This made the family relax and feel at ease. The labor did not go as planned and mom had to go for a C-section.
Jen was there answering all the questions the family had and calmed the mom. The husband was very anxious; however, he could hear Jen talking and laughing with his wife before he entered the room and he knew his wife was in excellent hands. The family could not thank her enough for everything they did for them and they know she loves her job.
***
Jen explained everything that was going to happen before the C-section and was comforting and reassuring to the family. Jen fully immersed herself in the experience and brought comfort to the family. She shared new motherhood stories and helped keep the experience fun, distracting, and hopeful. When it came time for my daughter to go to the OR it was knowing that Jen was with the family and would provide great peace. I knew my daughter couldn't have any better nurse by her side. Four years ago my sister passed away, however, new life was brought to the family and by an angel wearing a nurse's uniform.
