Yvette had a very anxious patient and family member. She spent a long time simply talking to them and explaining what was happening and what to expect. She took the time to connect personally with the patient and his wife and the outcome meant the patient and his wife felt well cared for and that their concerns were heard.

Yvette demonstrates every quality of a great nurse as well as exemplifying all of Bryan's values. She leads by example in showing future nurses what a great nurse looks like. I am always in awe of the amazing nursing care she delivers to her patients, but I know the impact she makes is evident in student evaluations. We ask a question about what influenced or impacted the students and Yvette is listed on at least one evaluation each week. She shows the way to become a great nurse by her excellent care, teaching, love for the profession, professional interaction and welcoming and inclusive personality - with all students.
