I brought my mom to Mainland for a biopsy of her thyroid. She is 76 years old and otherwise healthy, but this lump on her thyroid made us all very nervous until we met Myra. What a special lady and terrific nurse! She was so calming, fun and funny all while demonstrating professionalism. My mother's blood pressure was high on this date so we were informed we would have to come back the next day. Myra was on top of everything and quickly rescheduled and instructed us on coming back. The next day we came back and my mother's procedure was done. She cared for my mom as if she were her own family. It is very comforting when a nurse is as thorough, warm and friendly as Myra. We are so thankful she is part of the Hospital.
