My mother suffered a stroke late last year. She was hospitalized, released, and then suffered a more drastic continuation of that stroke. My mom was transferred to Overlake South 4 and Vesna was her nurse on a day that we received some devastating news about my mom's medical situation. I was a wreck; my whole family was. After letting me cry it out, Vesna told us not to fret but wait until we hear from all of the specialists. The whole time she was loving, caring, informative, empathetic, and educated us. I have been the sole caregiver in my family for the last 20 years. I've dealt with literally hundreds of RNs over the year. Vesna embodies everything that I expect in a nurse. We were very lucky to have her care, not only for my mother but for my family. And she was right, after meeting with all of the specialists, my mother's outcome has been miraculous.
