Alissa goes above and beyond in the care that she provides to her patients. She is a team player and is constantly helping out the other nurses when needed without thinking twice. Alissa is knowledgeable in her skills and is a great educator to other staff members.
An example of the person Alissa is, she has worked a minimum of 50 hours a week for the past month because of the staffing shortage we are experiencing and never complains about it. On top of it, the care she is giving continues to be excellent and outstanding.
Another example of the care Alissa gives happened this week when working together. A mother brought in her two young children, 3 years old and 8 months to the ED with her. The mother needed an ultrasound and couldn't bring both children with her. Alissa watched the 8-month-old child for 40 minutes while the mother was in imaging and continued to care for her other patients. These are only a few of the examples of the genuine, caring person and nurse that Alissa is. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
