My mother-in-law was admitted after being helicoptered in. She had suffered a massive stroke. We received awesome care from all of the staff, but I would like to recognize a nurse who went above and beyond for both my mother-in-law and for our family.
Heather was our nurse on Saturday, and she took awesome care of both my mother-in-law and my father-in-law who was distraught about her condition. She was kind and compassionate and went above and beyond to make not only my mother-in-law comfortable, but also my father-in-law, myself, my husband, and also my brother-in-law comfortable as well. She also was understanding about our situation and was supportive of our decision to go to palliative care and eventually hospice for my mother-in-law. She was awesome!
I firmly believe she was placed with us to help us through this difficult journey with my mother-in-law. She was an angel sent from God and we cannot thank her enough for all of the guidance, compassion, support, and understanding she showed us during that difficult and emotionally stressful time.
