Kim was my husband's nurse when he was in isolation for the flu (Type A) and pneumonia. My husband was feeling very sick and at times pretty anxious about being hospitalized and isolated from the world. Kim took extra time to get to know my husband and take care of his needs. This meant extra time to put on a gown, mask, and gloves to enter the room to help him feel physically better and cared about as a human being. She also took the time to get to know me, the wife. She made me feel like a valuable part of his support team; my voice mattered in his care and that being with him was an important part of his healing. Her grace, kindness, and skills as a nurse guided my husband's healing. Thank you.
