I was admitted to 5 South after having a total hysterectomy at the age of 34.
I came to the unit after being in recovery for 2 hours. Sarah came into my room as soon as I arrived and introduced herself politely to myself and my family. That evening was very difficult for me. I didn't sleep at all and likely called Sarah every hour for something.
She remained calm, quiet and very gentle with me and never became frustrated with my calls. She devoted herself to making me as comfortable as possible answering my repetitive questions and giving information about my care to my family.
Sarah was extraordinary during her time as my nurse. Sarah has a caring heart towards her patients. Thank you, Sarah.
