...I had the awesome privilege of working with Lainery recently when she floated to 4ST Maternity Place and demonstrated her exceptional teamwork and outstanding customer service to both our staff and patients. That night was extremely hectic and challenging in terms of our acuity and census, Lainery immediately jumped in after report on her assignment with an unbelievably positive attitude to transfer a newborn to NICU, make rounds with the pediatrician and discharge a newborn home, all within the first forty-five minutes of her shift. She then proceeded to admit three babies in rapid succession while offering assistance to the charge nurse with her assigned patients. She assisted the charge nurse to successfully straight cath an international VIP patient, provided emotional support to the patient and family during the entire procedure and followed up to ensure the patient's comfort afterwards. She worked tirelessly with several of our international patients to ensure that they understood the necessity of all procedures ordered for the newborns in her care. She independently assisted staff to restock the holding nursery with supplies needed during her shift and for the upcoming day shift. I shared all of the above with the night ANM for NICU who reported that Lainery has been an outstanding employee who consistently goes above and beyond both for her colleagues and her patients.

Lainery is a wonderful asset to our organization and without her exceptional work ethic and commitment to positive patient outcomes and positive patient experiences we would not have made it through the night.
