Nomination for Rebecca Horne RN, CPN, BS Biology of Pediatrics, the December recipient of the DAISY Award
Rebecca has worked as an RN on Peds for many years. She has always been a source of information for her co-workers. She's the first person I think of when I have a question about disease process and treatment options. Rebecca has recently taken over the Peds Nurse Educator role (a part time position) as well as continuing to provide highly skilled nursing care on our unit. She is doing a great job making sure we keep up with our education. Our unit provides care for many different categories of patients (inpatient kids of all types and ages, outpatient kids, radiology adult procedure patients, ATC overflow, NICU overflow) and we need updates on many different subjects. She is also functioning as co-chair of the hospital wide Nursing Education committee.
Rebecca is a great asset to the pediatric unit and we are lucky to have her!
