Sam's care for her patients is always exceptional! When picking up an assignment after Sam, her patients always compliment her and the care she gives. Sam works tirelessly to ensure that patients have what they need to make their hospital stay as comfortable as possible. Her patients are always well taken care of. As a nurse on 11 for roughly five years, she is now one of the charge nurses and one of the more senior staff members. Because of Sam's caring, open, and approachable demeanor, new nurses are not afraid to ask Sam questions, no matter how silly or simple they are. When in charge, she makes it a point to ask, "How ya doin'? You need anything?" If you ask for help, Sam will help you right then, no matter how busy she is. If you say, "No, I think I'm okay" Sam will say, "What can I do for you?". That simple rephrasing of her question shows how much Sam truly is a team player. Sam is a great nurse, friend, and role model.
She carries the role of "staff nurse" and "charge nurse" very well while always remaining a team player with a smile on her face and a laugh on her lips.
