Pain had taken over. 24 hours of extreme pain.
They were trying to figure out what medication would work. Tears were flowing for my daughter and I both.
Joni was charge nurse that day. She came in the room, sat at my bedside and calmly worked to diffuse our anxiety. She spoke with gentleness and kindness. She brought the team into action and within a couple of hours pain and anxiety were decreasing. We were able to sleep and the healing began.
