I would like to recognize Josh Enos on the Surgical Unit. He was very prompt to answer my call button. His explanation of my status was excellent. When the doctor gave me negative news, Josh knew I was feeling down and he would tell me positive things to bring my spirits up again. He really motivated me. Through his motivation, I was inspired to go walking as much as possible and exercise my lungs frequently. Even when he wasn't my assigned nurse, I would call him if I had questions about my health status. Somehow, he made me feel confident and comfortable. I asked him why he became an RN, and his answer was that he likes to help people and he cared for his father during his long illness. What struck me the most is when he said the most rewarding thing about his job is seeing the smile on his patient's face when they are going home. I sure gave him a great big smile when I left!
