One evening, our overnight shift began with 19 patients; but it ended with 30 patients. The resource nurse, Tiffany Magnan stayed calm even after receiving 11 admissions. East 4 also had a 1:1 and then received a second 1:1 patient overnight. The resource nurse was flexible in covering the new 1:1 need and used her own RN to cover a portion of the shift to allow the clinical assistant to put together charts for the new admissions. The staff's positive attitude and ability to work together was amazing to see during such a busy night. Congratulations are in order for the great teamwork and positive attitudes! Those positive attitudes and teamwork make my job as supervisor easier to keep patient flow moving.
