Amy is an Excellent Charge Nurse. She is team-oriented and don't mind rolling up her sleeves to help out when needed. Amy will use her personal money to buy coffee or lunch for staff and will not let you reimburse her or buy her something at a later date. Amy is awesome at Service Recovery and will go out of her way to help a patient get a ride home or assist with whatever resources the patient may need. She has a way with words. When she is working, I don't mind breaking my neck to make her job easier for her in whatever way I can. I take care of her because she takes care of me! My days are brighter when she is around. Amy is best!

Recently there was a family traveling from out of state who suffered a motor vehicle crash. The family members were okay, but their family dog was killed in the accident. Amy arranged for the pet to be brought to the hospital so that the family could say their goodbyes. The family was devastated by the loss of their dog and was not going to be able to bury the animal since they were from out of state. Amy allowed them closure with the animal and arranged for the dog to by buried as well.
