Julie Wilson goes above and beyond for patient care. She is a knowledgeable resource as a PACU (recovery) nurse. She is patient with patients and their families. She takes time to educate patients about their results from the procedure and makes people comfortable.

One example is that when a patient could not find our department from the parking structure. She went from 2-South just to help the patient arrive to our department after the patient called numerous times trying to get to our department.

Over the past 3 years working with Julie here in Endoscopy, I observed that she is punctual and very helpful. I often see her taking on more than she can handle because she is a type of person that cannot say "no". She is not only helpful to patients; she exudes competence and joy in her profession as a nurse. I don't hear her complain about the patient load. She is calm and had taught me to take the same initiative in my work.
