On August 30th my 70+ year old mom had a run in with our 100 pound, crazy, 4 year old English Sheep dog. She was brought into MCR and prepped for surgery that night. While waiting to go into surgery, Tim was her wonderful nurse. He was kind, caring and gentle. Not only did he make my mom feel safe but he kept making sure the family was ok as well. Tim chatted with my mom trying to take her mind off her pain. My parents were scheduled to go to Costa Rica in 5 days; Tim shared his experience of living there and told my mom someday she would enjoy the country just as he had. Not only did Tim connect with my mom, he then found out my parents winter in AZ; he too had lived in Scottsdale. Well, then my mom jumped in and told him her favorite restaurant. They reminisced about this place for the next few minutes. I know this seems trivial, but the way he spoke to them, was like he was family. He had full respect for my mom and never let her think she was anything but precious. As I said, Tim was not only caring to my mom, but he even noted that I might like a warm blanket while I waited in the waiting room for my mom to get out of surgery. That was above and beyond, thinking of me when he has already so much to do. Tim made a big difference in a scary situation for me. Thank you MCR and especially to Tim!
