Kathleen is a caring compassionate nurse who very patiently took care of me. She was always informing me of what to expect and if any test results were available, she would discuss it with me to ease the level of anxiety I was going through. She was very patient and demonstrated that she enjoys her job for caring for people. She truly surprised and delighted me the way she cared for me. She truly deserved any award and recognition available to encourage her of the great job she is doing. She is a great asset and a perfect mirror to Glendale Adventist. She made this place very pleasant. Kathleen Breeher started working in GAMC as a nursing assistant in July 2011, and during this time was studying to be an RN. Her inspiration to become a nurse started in elementary school. She remembers how her grandfather, who was a chronic CHF/COPD patient was admitted repeatedly at the hospital. It was here that Kathleen saw how kind and caring the nurses were to her grandfather, despite him being a very difficult patient. She was amazed at how this unconditional care would give her grandfather encouragement and hope. This same unconditional care is what Kathleen has shown to her patients here in CTU. As a nursing assistant, she was very kind to her patients, taking time to listen and comfort them. After receiving her Associate's Degree from College of Canyons in 2012, Kathleen continued to work in CTU. We are fortunate to have her, as her co-workers would mention that despite being very busy, she is always ready to help. Her patients would mention how detailed and patiently she explains what to expect during their stay. Kathleen inspires all of us to be better. We are so proud of her!
