Let me start with my dad, mom, and myself have been admitted to TMMC over the past 3 years for various medical reasons. All that to say, I've had a lot of encounters with nursing staff - my dad's often lasted a minimum of a couple weeks - lots of time to engage with RNs. I have never encountered a more caring, generous, helpful, and compassionate nurse at TMMC! To say Nolie cared does not even fully describe the depth of this engagement with my father. No matter what my father's physical needs to the simple answering of questions, Nolie's attitude was positive and encouraging. My dad experienced intestinal issues requiring many cleanups and Nolie handled every one of them with kindness and showed my 83-year-old father incredible respect.
Nolie even took the time to go and find some cinnamon because my dad told him he missed having it in his oatmeal during his hospital stays. I suspect that much of Nolie's innate talents cannot be taught; he just was born to be a caregiver extraordinaire! With warm regards and deep appreciation.
