I have a niece in the PICU who is premature and has down syndrome. Melissa is a very special person because she has a special ability to keep us calm in situations in dealing with a crisis with the baby. She is very attentive and pays not only attention to her patient but also us as a family. She has gone above and beyond to help me personally with things that I have experienced since being here with my niece and her mother. She takes time to listen to you, you know when she is with you that she genuinely cares about your concerns and takes the extra time to make sure that we are all comfortable and we understand all that is being done to her. She really does go above and beyond.
