Holly's care was outstanding for the duration of A's stay. She filled out the white board in an age-appropriate manner, sought out a daily goal from my daughter and explained the purpose of the board to her, my husband and me in great detail. Holly took time to explain that A's IV was safe and secure, describing it as a "miniature straw in her arm that could not poke or hurt her", which set my daughter's mind at ease while decreasing her anxiety. Holly went above and beyond to seek information from A regarding her interests and preferences and used this information to personalize her care. When Holly learned that A was missing a "Polar Express" party at school, she brought the party to the hospital by bringing in the movie and hot chocolate.
Holly's touching actions, caring demeanor and collaborative care were greatly appreciated. She touched my daughter's heart as she continues to relay the story of her stay at Blessing and "Nurse Holly" who took care of her. Holly's dedication and passion for her nursing profession is highly evident in the care she provides to her patients.
