Sarah was my Father's nurse several times during his time at NEA ICU. Sarah was extremely thorough in her assessment and care of Dad. She listened to our concerns and questions and followed up with answers and let the physicians know what we had questions about. What stood out to me with Sarah, was her ability to empathize and understand the pain, worry, and stress we were going through during Dad's time in the ICU. She was able to identify and reflect with us, as she too has had experience with staying in hospitals around the clock with her own loved one.
Sarah was a great comfort to my mother. She made a big impression on my mom and she holds a special place in my Mom and Dad's hearts. Dad was crazy about Sarah (Sarah was his nurse several times after the vent was removed) and was comfortable with her and the care she gave him. Sarah has continued to reach out to my family, even after Dad left NEA, to see how he is doing, to see how we are doing and has even come by the LTAC facility to say hi and visit and brought Mom and Dad a gift. We are grateful for her excellent care of Dad during his time at NEA and for being such a thoughtful and compassionate person for us during a very difficult time.
