We would like to thank Margaret Karstetter, for not only the compassionate care of our mother but our family as well. Our mother was a patient on 3 West for several days until her passing.
Margaret's compassion in the care of our mother was beyond and above her normal nursing responsibilities. She was selfless with her time, often staying late to ensure our mother and our family we receiving the best possible treatment.
In addition to her normal duties, she was a wonderful sounding board. We were able to freely discuss our mother's care and options to consider going forward.
On multiple occasions, Margaret provided a gentle one on one approach with our mom, often stroking her hair or giving her a back rub. It did not matter the day, we never felt she was being pushed for time.
We will be forever grateful for this wonderful nurse. Harrison Medical Center is very lucky to have her!
