My mother was brought to the ER from a rehabilitation center after having mini-strokes. She was transferred to the Telemetry Unit and I want to acknowledge Luna for going above and beyond in caring for her. My mother was confused as to where she was, and Luna was very attentive and comforting. What I really appreciated the most was how she was in touch with me, not only when I visited, but also over the phone to give me updates and to let me know when my mom was having a difficult day and when she thought I needed to come back to calm mom down.
I have so much respect for the people in the healthcare profession, for long hours and lots of hard work! Dealing with "difficult" patients (like my mom) and keeping family (who can be emotional and worried) calm and updated.
Luna was just amazing! I was always happy to see her or get a phone call for updates.
She is a terrific nurse, caregiver, and an angel. We are grateful for her loving care and for the chance to acknowledge Luna as a DAISY Nurse.
