Jacqueline Murray RN has been workng in the NICU. She agreed to be trained as a charge nurse and has proven herself to be a leader with great critical thinking abilities that is needed in this unique role for this particular NICU.
She is currently the co-chair to the NICU/NBN unit council. Her contribution to the council has been nothing but positive and productive. The Unit Council Rally she suggested and organized last November 2011 was a success, it brought about awareness of the role of the council as well as the staff.
As a bedside nurse, she reaches out to the parents in a compassionate manner and takes time to listen to their concerns, angers, fears, and she alleviates their negative perception through her re-assurance.
She has been involved in many evidenced based nursing practice to improve the quality of in the unit as well as patient satisfaction. Her willingness to assist co-workers, parents and management wholeheartedly mirrors the values of SFMC.
She is currently completing requirements for the research class offered by the University of Phoenix and we wish her luck in this endeavor.
