My 94 yr old mother was admitted to CVICU. She is very beloved by the family, daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Many of us were awaiting word on her condition and showing our love and concern for the matriarch of our family. I was overwhelmed with gratitude for the staff of the CVICU. Kevin led the way forward for all of us. My mother was disoriented, confused, aggressive at times, and Kevin reacted to all circumstances in a calm, compassionate manner. My mother sensed his caring nature even in her disoriented state and decided she was going to marry Kevin. We are very close family and we flocked to FMC. Kevin handled the influx of family members with grace and a calm demeanor that soothed all of us.
Please do not let Kevin get away from FMC; he personifies "nursing as an art as well as a science". We all want to have a Kevin in our lives. He is a true DAISY Nurse.
