Family/Nurse Nomination:
Kelly presented herself with a quiet compassionate grace not only to my grandmother but to our large, very emotional family. On one occasion, I heard her speak up to a resident in regards to what med needed to be given stat for my gram’s respiratory distress. She took it upon herself to notify me when the Dr. would be on the unit because we had questions. She called and put the cardiologist on the phone with me directly. While tending to other patients- many other patients, she provided relief for my grandmother, support to my family and exemplified what all nurse should be. Amazing.

I will never forget the compassion and kindness, and nursing skills Kelly showed to my mother while a patient on 8NW. She treated our whole family during my mother’s end of life stay. She cared about each and every one of us. I will be forever grateful that we had such a skilled nurse as Kelly. If we could have handpicked her for our mothers care, she would have been the one. Thank you Kelly!

My mother became very ill with pneumonia & heart failure. She was not only kind & compassionate to my mother but with our family. She is a true compassionate caring nurse & gives the best care to her patients. She guided us in the right direction for the best possible plan of care for my mom.
