Quote from the website to nominate a DAISY Award honoree, "extraordinary nurses everywhere who make an enormous difference in the lives of so many people by the super-human work they do every day" and that is exactly how I would describe Peg after my experience with her as my nurse.
As an employee & a previous patient here, I have to say Peg was an extremely compassionate & caring RN. I met Peg on my 3rd night as a patient. Everything was overwhelming for me & my diagnosis was a tricky one. I could see the compassion in her eyes when I first met her when she came on her shift. I was full of questions after feeling uncertain about everything that had been going on, she didn't even hesitate to sit down with me & review all of my results for the day with my mother & me. Not only did she take the time out of the beginning of the shift to talk with me, she also made sure she came in the room while my cardiologist & family doctor were there discussing my care. Peg would chime in with wonderful suggestions for things that I was unsure of. Both my mother & I agree that without Peg that night, we would've been left a little uneasy with the day.
I can't thank Peg enough for everything she helped me with that night. She went above & beyond in a short 8 hour period. Patients & staff on WW2 are lucky to have such a wonderful compassionate & extraordinary nurse.
