Lynda took the time to explain to us everything she did, skillfully and compassionately...She welcomed all of us (6-8 people) and encouraged us to talk to Mom, assuring us she could hear us. She treated us with utmost respect and care…made sure we all had a place to sleep…assured us that as she watched Mom’s vital signs, she would come in and wake us if the end was imminent. She gave us permission to sleep and the next night came rushing into the room to let us know it was “time”.
Once Mom was gone, she comforted us all and cried with us. She even sat with our father and cried with him. Her compassion was amazing—she was our rock, our educator, and our (Mom’s too) protector. We will never forget Lynda and the wonderful way she navigated us through this journey.
