Carrie was so compassionate and stayed with me and my husband in our room and really comforted us after my baby passed away and labor was induced. She explained exactly what was going to happen physicially and how they were going to try to help me deliver with as little pain as possible. I can't put into words the comfort, compassion, and care that she showed us...it was not so much in what she said, but more in her presence. She was with me when they gave me pitocin and helped me through the contractions. She was very positive adn kepy saying "When you get pregnant again...". She never once said "if". This is exactly what we needed to hear.

She also spent however much time was needed to answer their questions nad talk to them in general about what has happened and what to expect. many of my family members have told me on numerous occasions that she was great with them and really made them feel comfortable and at ease considering the situation.

Before Carrie's shift eneded, she introduced me to the new nurse who was to stay with me until after I delivered. I could tell that Carrie would have stayed with me if she could. Later that night, Carrie went out of her way tot call to see how I was doing and to let me know she was thinking about me. Just that little bit of extra effort on her part made me feel really special. I know that Carrie was just doing her job by taking care of my physicially, but the emotional support was more than I could ever have hoped for and above and beyond anything I could have asked for from the nurses at Kaiser.
