Melinda was awarded the DAISY Award which celebrates the outstanding compassionate care delivered by nurses every day at Atrium Medical Center. Her co-workers nominated her for this award for the outstanding care she provides to our patients, as well as the compassion she has for her fellow co-workers.

One of our Special Police Officers wrote:

I would like to nominate Melinda Dennis for the DAISY Award. I am a campus police officer and have dealt with Melinda on numerous occasions in the ER. Melinda shows compassion and seems to have a true love for her job. I know that anytime I’m dealing with one of her patients, she makes that patient feel very comfortable when they’re here and scared. Melinda is highly respected by all the officers on my shift.

Melinda is, without a doubt, one of the most positive RN’s I have had the pleasure to work with. She has that special touch with the patients and the other staff members in the ER. She is one reason why our ER is one of the best in the entire area. We need more people like Melinda. Please consider her for this special award. She truly deserves it!
