Suzanne is a very loving and caring person! I bring my mother to the Cancer Center every week for her blood work and a shot. Suzanne always makes a point to come say hello to my mother, even if she isn't her nurse that day. If my Mom needs help going to the restroom or just a warm blanket, Suzanne is on the ball. Her soft voice and caring ways help to make our visit each week there more enjoyable. The nurses at the new Cancer Center are one in a million!

Suzanne connects on a personal basis with each one of her patients by listening to their stories and telling them stories of her own. She chats with them, and she finds things in common with each of her patients. This causes them to be eager to see her each time they come in for treatment and to ask where she is if she happens to have a day off. Suzanne's quirky sense of humor keeps her patients laughing and helps them forget why they are here. Suzanne will even attend events outside of work, if a patient requests her to come. For example, she agreed to go to the Franklin Folk Festival in July because a patient asked her to be there.

Along with her great caring and compassion for her patients, Suzanne assists harried staff members without being asked, pays meticulous attention to detail when carrying out doctor's orders and prescribed treatments and remains calm under pressure never letting her stress show.

Suzanne is a great role model for those of us who work with her and watch her quietly go above and beyond what is asked of her.
