Catherine is a quiet hero on the night shift. On many parent conferences in the NICU, her name is mentioned by parents as an RN who provides excellent care to their baby. Her name is often mentioned on patients rounds as a nurse who the parents trust. Many parents have mentioned they know they can go home and sleep because Catherine is working in the NICU caring for their baby. Catherine and her husband have donated a simulation baby for MRMC to assist with our drills related to NICU babies. Catherine has at other facilities been nominated for this prestigious national nursing award and so when she was told she was going to receive this recognition she was thrilled. Catherine is a quiet, visible leader so respected by medical and nursing staff.
