Although we only spent one day with Suzi, we fell in love with her. Our mother broke her hip when she fell in church. My twin and I spent every day by our mother's bedside. We met and observed the excellent staff at Novant, but when nurse Suzie walked in smiling bright as a star, we began falling in love. Suzie provided exceptional care for our beloved mother. Suzi took care of our mother on her worst post op day and was sincere, compassionate and lovely. God sent in the "best of the best" for this day. Nurse Suzi's gentle and kind persona lifted our spirits. Suzi did more than any other nurse inclulding: First bath after 4 days in the hospital, kept mother comfortable, extra creamers for coffee (our mother believes coffee heals everything!), and educated her.

My oldest son was admitted to ICU and spent 5 days there before he passed. One nurse stood out above all others. Suzi was like an angel that had been sent to take care of my son and me. She was one of the most caring and non-judgmental people I had ever met. She administered care for my son like she was taking care of her own baby. Always there to give an encouraging word or a much needed hug. She saw to our every need. I will never forget this one nurse who stands out far above all other great nurses there.
