... I was burning up with pain and discomfort, not able to make rational decisions. I remember getting really upset; I grabbed some things and headed out the Cardio Unit's doors, feeling like I was getting little help for my dire condition.

I had almost made it to the elevator when I heard Nurse Darci asking me to please come back to my room. She came and took me by the hand and helped me to my room. She immediately ordered the right medications, all the while showing her outstanding professionalism, calming me down and showing me with her actions and words that she really understands and cares about her patients.

Without her being there for me, I believe that if I had left that night nothing good would have happened to me that night. I believe I owe a lot to Nurse Darci Schmaltz, possibly even my life. Thank you!
