Ingrid is an amazing nurse. As her orientee I was able to observe her in action with her patients. Not only did she take the time to converse with them and establish relationships, she also took meticulous care of them. She ensured their safety (especially her neutropenic patients) by caring for all their needs even down to ensuring Curos caps are on all locations needed on the tubing. She delves deep into patients' charts and with her experience and knowledge she finds orders that have been left undone and in turn she completes them. I even joke with her "Ingrid, are we finding that Benadryl order from five years ago so we can give it today?". We have developed a relationship in which I feel comfortable asking her for help and because she is a seasoned RN. I feel confident she will either have the answer or be able to find it for me. She is admirable in the fact that she is often team lead on her shift because her knowledge is respectable. Ingrid deserves to be recognized for all of her years of service, not only as an RN, but also as a trainer, leader and friend.
