Traci was nominated by a patient who had been camping up North was referred to Mercy Health Muskegon for an unanticipated outpatient surgical procedure leaving her separated from her family and with no way to return to them. Before the procedure, Traci calmed the patient's anxiety of being without her family by letting her know we would be her family. After the procedure, the patient had no arrangements to return to her family. Traci told her not to worry and that she would be taking her back to her family herself. The patient said that Traci changed everything for her and it was the nicest thing anyone had ever done for her.
