Audrey is an amazing nurse, co-worker, and human being who exemplifies what nursing is all about. She is compassionate and believes in amazing care, patient safety, teamwork, and encouraging a great work environment.
Audrey has amazing skills and knowledge that she uses and also shares and teaches others. She comes to work ready to dive into whatever is needed to be done. Audrey works hard, but she is also willing to lend a hand whenever it is needed.
Audrey's care for patients is exemplary. She will advocate for all her patients and their families for the best outcome whether they are admitted or discharged. She uses her voice in a professional manner to be heard. Her bedside manner has always been excellent. Audrey will go out of her way to solve any problem, answer a question, or make someone feel listened to or comforted.
Audrey promotes a safe environment for patients and also for staff. She will consistently check in on staff and address any safety issues that may come about.
Audrey has also been on medical missions and continues to give her time for those underserved in their communities. She loves volunteering for events promoted by UW like the recent Seattle Marathon and Pride weekend.
She is always continuing to learn and educate herself to improve her skills. She communicates with pharmacists and practitioners to discuss patient care and sets goals for any concerns or changes that may arise.
Audrey pours her heart into her work. She is thorough and efficient. As a Charge RN, Audrey is always rounding to check on staff or department needs. She is a good communicator and advocate for the entire department. Audrey works hard on exploring better practices for the department and patient care. She is always working on quality improvements by alerting management or practitioners. Best practice and excellent care of patients have always been something Audrey champions, and she conveys this which helps the department improve.
Audrey Valentine is an amazing preceptor and mentor in the ED. She precepts new grad nurses along with new staff. She is well-spoken and enables a positive environment in which to learn and makes all feel welcomed and comfortable in the ED. Audrey is also an impressive resource and mentor in the Emergency Department. Anyone who works in the ED will agree that Audrey is always ready to help, teach, listen, and assist in all aspects of patient care.
