Kitaya was the first person to give me a hug after my husband had a stroke and then had to have decompression surgery. Everyone was super sympathetic and kind and sincere. Kitaya stood with the arm around my shoulder at my first tears. She seemed to understand I really needed to talk to someone. I had the tendency to not burden others with my problems even though I don't mind listening to others. She got me talking somehow and I felt so much better to have found a friend. Kitaya did not need to hear my story. All the staff was there to take care of my husband, but she wanted to make sure I was emotionally taken care of as well.
Everyone had that look of total agreement when I mentioned how nice Kitaya is. She didn't give me false hopes but truths. I don't know how she does it. But she is in lots of rooms talking to other families. I am sure they were getting the special treatment of assurance that their loved ones were in best of hands.
From first night of having been in DH, I felt my husband was getting the best care. I was even relaxed enough to leave him at night. I wouldn't have left him if I didn't feel confidence he would get the attention he needed. Kitaya made me feel cared for as well that I remember to take care of myself. I think she just has a natural instinct to do the "above and beyond".
