A terminally ill patient was on the floor for an extended period of time. This patient would not eat for weeks and was very depressed. There was no family around and no friend who came to visit patient. Tamra found out what food he liked and purchased multiple baked potatoes and fried catfish dinners in addition to sodas and snacks. After a few days patient started eating and before you know it, he was eating three meals a day by the time he was discharged. This great effort beyond nursing care that Tamra took the time to realize what the patient liked to eat and went above and beyond to purchase the food herself and bring it in for the patient. We are so proud of Tamra for being an extraordinary nurse.
