I am a new mommy and I was completely unaware of what to expect. From my first entrance to the hospital, my nurse, Gretchen, helped me till the end. She taught me how to breathe through my contractions and coached me through them and was a great cheerleader. Before she went home the first time she made sure I was in great hands. I was very happy when she returned the next day. My daughter's heart rate dropped. She was very active, assertive and full-on to get it back up without hesitation. She helped me learn how to push and also stayed with me. Coaching and helping me through each push. I had a sort of difficult time pushing and she was hands-on and helpful to the doctor, my mother and me. Again, before she went home she made sure my baby and I were perfect and taken care of. I couldn't imagine getting through this process without her. She is an angel sent from God to me. That is why I decided to make my daughter's middle name Gretchen so when she is older I can tell her about how amazing Gretchen was when she brought her into the world. Love her.
