I came to The Christ Hospital and was admitted to the critical care unit because I was diagnosed with HELLP syndrome. I was induced at only 35 weeks. After he was born I was unable to go to visit him but Sandy did an excellent job of keeping me updated on him. Sandy would stop by daily and tell me funny stories about him which would make me very happy and kept my mind off of what was going on.
My husband also had great things to say about her as well. My husband is a huge Colts fan and Sandy kept trying to put Bengals clothes on our son. Those little extra things that she would do made us laugh during a tough time.
You can tell that Sandy truly loves her job. I am forever grateful for her and when our son gets older I will tell him about his funny nurse, Sandy, who is very deserving of this DAISY Award.
