Lisa Dent, RN is the hardest working nurse I know. She comes into work prepared and dedicated every single shift to give her all to the patients. She always gives 110% and beyond with a smile on her face. No task is too tough; no job is too dirty for Lisa. The employees in our Emergency department have coined a slogan that pertains to Lisa's hard work day in and out - "Nobody works harder than Lisa Dent."
There are many situations in which Lisa deserves The DAISY Award recognition. Lisa is always involved in work every single minute of her shift. One scenario that portrays her hard work, devotion, and compassion for her coworkers, is when she went around and stocked the module's IV trays and medication areas after she finished stocking the Resuscitation module. She didn't have to do that and she is the first person that I have observed to do so. This was one less task that her fellow co-workers had to do which made the shift run a bit more smoothly and allowed us to focus more on the patients.
Lisa has a positive attitude and her job performance exemplifies the values of St. John Health System. Lisa is an extraordinary nurse; a nurse that I would want to take care of my loved ones or myself. Lisa is a leader. She influences the staff by her actions and personally compels me to strive for excellence. It is for these reasons and more that Lisa deserves The DAISY Award. St. John Health System should be very proud to have such an extraordinary and exemplary nurse on their team as we are here in the Emergency Center.
