Karin Toci, CNO presents the DAISY Award to Jill Trombino, RN.
Jill has worked at Banner Thunderbird since 2002, and currently works on 2A Orthopedics in Medical Surgical Services. Jill was nominated for purchasing the third book in a trilogy series for a patient who had to spend a lot of time in the hospital and had run out of things to read. Jill purchased the book for the patient on her day off and then brought it in and gifted it.
Jill continually goes above and beyond for her patients on a daily basis. She is a positive force on 2A serving as bedside nurse and fill-in manager. She never tires and even on the most stressful days she has a smile and can take time to lend a helping hand where needed. She is a fabulous nurse and a shining example of what excellent patient care looks like. Jill is a reminder of why we became nurses: because we love what we do and we love taking care of our patients.
Jill provided a “WOW” experience for her patient, and made a difference in their stay.
