Our family would like to thank all of the wonderful, professional, and caring staff on the palliative care floor, but we would especially like to recognize one upbeat, confident woman for helping our family through the journey of our father's last earthly days. Jessica Koopman provided us with continuity the whole week we were there. We were so pleased when she agreed to work on her day off, picking up an extra shift on our father's last day with us. She treated our father very lovingly and compassionately even though he was unable to respond. She did everything she could do to help him and us feel comfortable and supported. She was there to reassure us and help coordinate with other hospital staff as we made decisions as a family. Her gentle guidance, support, and smile helped us make it through a very tough time in our lives. Thank you Jessica! We will remember you and all you have done in our hearts forever.
