Allison
Larimore
,
RN2
BICU/PICU
Harborview Medical Center, UW Medicine
Allison takes her own time to pursue research opportunities that will help improve patient care and nursing evidence-based practice.
Allison takes the time to get to know her patients and provide the best care based on the patients' needs and is respectful of their wishes. Allison is the nurse who brings in toys for kids on the unit who wouldn't have any to play with to pass the time in the hospital, and the type of nurse to take extra time to make sure a patient gets their hair washed after a week of being intubated as they are deserving of that respect.
Allison takes her own time to pursue research opportunities that will help improve patient care and nursing evidence-based practice. Allison's patients routinely request to have her back as their nurse.

I nominated Allison Larimore for her dedication to not only her patients but her fellow co-workers as well. She is a nurse that goes up and beyond by providing excellent care and continues to advocate patient and staff safety. She openly voices her dedication to this hospital by serving on the HMC safety committee, Mentoring new ICU nurses, and still on her own time able to find the energy to make surgical caps for fellow staff out of concern for safety. She is one amazing DAISY Nurse.
