I recently made an unplanned trip to visit my sister who was sick in the hospital with sepsis. She was intubated and heavily sedated during my 5 days with her. Cathy was my sister's nurse and she took the time to educate me on PPE and she would explain everything that she was doing to my sister. Cathy spoke to me and my sister with kindness and respect. Even though my sister was sedated she would tell her what she was doing and why. My sister is now home recovering thanks to the care she received at your hospital, but especially from Cathy who demonstrated Excellent Patient and family-centered care with compassion.
